New product out today to help convert old tapes to upscaled/HD formats.

http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/betamaxhd.html

Other models will be being released soon, including VHS-S to Bluray and
U-Matic-S to DVD.

Given it's launched today, the first 500 units will be selling for $29.99.
Has anyone used something like this before? I've only had the 8mm to VHS
type devices before now but am not sure if I want to commit to order one...

Cheers,
Lirpa Loof

Today being the first of the month of course... The old adage is
probably still as true today as it was yesterday, garbage in = garbage
out!
