Completely jbex and kiddie safe http://www.capalert.com/ The review of South Park the Movie is quite unintentionally hilarious "South Park is an incredibly dangerous movie for those who do not understand or are developing an understanding of the Gospel ....... INCREDIBLY dangerous. Some of the scenes in South Park reminded me so much of the image of demons screeching and dancing around a boiling cauldron as Satan gleefully looks on from the background as the demons pitch soul after soul after soul into the burning cauldron.." -- Malc Don't be humble. You're not that great. .... Golda Meir

I half take your point. But at least they are stating their purpose - they are stating who they think it is dangerous for. Would you rather they are putting these reviews out as a resource for those who want to use them, who presumably share a similar world view, or that they march round outside the cinemas and try and get the films banned? It seems that they are saying to parents :"This is how we regard this movie: you read and decide if you want your kids to see it." OK, they do it in a rather OTT way, but at least most of the reviews I read[1] do attempt to analyse the film for its artistic merits As it happens, while I find Southpark funny in very small doses, I find it very wearing in larger doses simply by its cloying cynicism - watch it for too long and I find myself looking at the whole world the same way, as there is no let-up. Blasphemy doesn't bother me so much, AFAIAC, GOd can look after himself better than I can on that score, but the endless swearing gets to me after a while. And as for the comments about children in the audience laughing if their Dads did - well, I wouldn't want My kids to watch Southpark, and I don't think it was ever intended for kids - it is, surely, meant to be an adults parody of kids cartoons. [1] eg Harry Potter - I knew that would get some hackles rising, but there are at least some comments on the style and acting. -- JonG 'Whistling Tunes....'
