I've seen one of these, it looks like a white plastic base with a non-stick metal(?) surface, upon which you put your food, and a dome-shaped polythene cover with a round hole in the top which you cover the food with, before putting the lot in the microwave and cooking it. Has anyone had any good experiences of these things? To me, the appear to be POS.

It looked like a standard Corningware skillet, but on the underside there was a metalized square slightly smaller than the bottom itself. The isntructions required that you preheat the empty skillet in the microwave for ummm... however long (probably 3-4 minute), then add fat, food, cover with lid, and return to microwave for further cooking. I could cook most things on the stove top in about the same amount of time, so this was not an advantage. -- Wayne Boatwright ____________________________________________ Give me a smart idiot over a stupid genius any day. I had one similar to this at a time when I didn't have a stove top. I remembered what stuff looked like when cooked on a stove top, though, and the browning dish didn't do it. Things that are best browned (sausages) were better than those cooked in an ordinary dish, but nothing like they should be. The solution was a convection/microwave oven with a built-in grill :-) regards sarah -- Think of it as evolution in action.
