Hi. I am not sure this is the right news group to ask this question. So, if there is anyone who feel offended, please bear with me. I am planning a trip to Pusan. Our airplane arrive at Seoul during night time so there is no connecting flight to Pusan. It gives me two options. One is to stay one night at Seoul and take the plane next morning. The other is to take a train or bus. What I am wondering is how do I get to train station or bus station from Kimpo airport ? Do they have any shuttle for travelers like me connecting ariport to bus or train station ? Thanks for any information. ----------------------------------------------------------- Jaehoon,Seol e-mail : seol@math.uiowa.edu www : http://www.math.uiowa.edu/~seol Only the person born without mother can be free. -----------------------------------------------------------

Seoul has an effective subway system, so you may take a subway at the airport to Youngdeugpo Station or Seoul Station. Though you need to transfer the subway in both cases, you can manage it, since they inform it in English. Or you may simply(?) ask to the ppl where to transfer or take the right subway. I think there are many Mu-gung-hwa/Tong-il trains to Pusan, even at night time. I'm not sure how long does it take to go there since I've never been there. I just guess it'll be about 7~8 hours' trip from Seoul. If you take Sae-ma-eul, it'll take about 4 hours I guess. Most trains are full, so I'm not sure you can find seats then. It'll be really hectic if you don't have seats during such a long travel. You can buy tickets at ticket machines with you master/visa card at the station. It has English option, so in some regards it'll be more convenient to purchase your ticket there than the ticket window. Especially when you don't know the exact time of the train to your destination or don't know if they have vacant seats, it's very helpful since it shows available trains you can take from the time you choose. Many Cho-heung Bank branches also have the machines, so you may reserve & purchase train tickets there if you have credit cards. Mostly I use the machine to buy tickets, and I'm content with it. Hati. PS; If you want to know the time table of trains to Pusan, inform me your arrival time . >----------------------------------------------------------- > Jaehoon,Seol e-mail : seol@math.uiowa.edu > www : http://www.math.uiowa.edu/~seol > Only the person born without mother can be free. >-----------------------------------------------------------

Ahnyong :) I would suggest that you take either train or bus or subway from Kimpo Airport to stay at a hotel for a night and getting used to the time difference. Next day go to Seoul Station by subway or bus and then take the train to Pusan from there. When going by train you can enjoy Korea very much and it will be a beautiful experience. It takes longer than by air plane of course but it is that worth :) Good luck in your travels, -- Janne Mi http://home8.inet.tele.dk/jannemi/
