Hi. I'm wondering if anybody is aware of any examples of neural networks being used for any kind of cryptography-related purpose. If anybody is, I'd be very thankful for references or pointers. As I'm not a regular reader of either of these groups, email is preferable. I'll scan for posts, however. I'm also glad to summarize upon request-- assuming there's something to summarize, of course. I don't think the request was granted. The problem with using neural nets is figuring out what to reward. Each bit is going to be correct 50% of the time, on the average. How do you judge "almost correct"? It's an interesting question, one I'm sure the spooks have played with, but I don't know of anyone in the non-military world getting anywhere. Bruce
