Hi, Can someone clarify something for me? I thought that technically, the men's and women's tournaments at Indian Wells are two _different_ tournies, which just 'happen' to be held on the same site. In other words, it's not really like the Japan Open or Sydney or Lipton, which are one single tournie. Can someone make this clear? Kevin

Also they started out not being held simultaneously at all, but in consecutive weeks, like the Italian Open is now. I think the "overlapping" of the schedule was quite recent (like maybe two years ago) and it was only *last* year that I heard it being promoted as kind of a "new, improved" single unit tournament -- "the wave of the future" marsha
