Premier results below are from memory over a busy Christmas. The results
are all correct but the scoreline in one or two cases may be wrong.

I disocvered yesterday that Limerick is no longer the best place for the
true purist when it comes to LoI football. The new Waterford Regional Sports
centre has to be the place to go. Wellington boots are a must as unlike
Rathbane the mud here actually covers your shoes. Toilet facilities consist
of a wall and naturally there is no covered accomodation. The second half
was made all the better thanks to a rising fog that brought the sweet
fragrance of the nearby city dump wafting into our nostrils as the temperature
went further below zero. It will become a 15,000 all seater stadium and
building work is cirrently in progress on a stand. Until then it's a great
place to visit. As for the football, well Waterford's run of defeats under
their new lights came to end with a dismal scoreless draw. They were booed
off by their own fans. Limerick were the better side but failed to take
numerous chances. Amazingly Noel King wasn't booked. He was just sent
off straight away 5 minutes after the break. Limerick's promotion hopes
were already gone and Waterford have little chance of even a playoff spot.
