National TeleConsultants is the leading television/broadcast
facilities design firm in the US. Clients include major Hollywood TV
and film studios, the TV networks, and major domestic and
international organizations. We currently have an excellent and

General Description/Requirements:

There are career opportunities available now for several Project
Managers, Senior Engineers, Project Engineers, and Design Engineers.
These positions work with other team members to plan and develop,
often from scratch, the detailed construction documentation for large-
scale broadcast facilities.

The bulk of the design work is specific to audio and video broadcast
systems, but applicants should have a basic knowledge of
architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems and how these
systems interact with the technical equipment.

A BS or BA degree is required, and a BSEE degree is preferred.
Computer literacy is required along with a good working knowledge of
AutoCAD (although a drafting department is available to assist with
drawing), DOS, Windows, Word, Excel, and Access. Excellent oral and
written communications abilities are required. Television production
experience is desirable. This work requires close attention to details
with a high degree of accuracy. The ability to react to change and to
appreciate the big picture is required for advancement. Every job in
our firm is people-oriented and all of these positions will have
client contact.

Experience designing television systems is required.

The following responsibilities will apply in varying degrees based on
position:
  *  Project budget preparation and ongoing monitoring
  *  Project schedule preparation and ongoing monitoring
  *  Generating functional and connection-level drawings using AutoCAD
  *  Developing cable runlists
  *  Developing detailed equipment lists and budgets
  *  Developing console layouts, equipment rack elevations, and
jackfield layouts. You will also be analyzing sight lines and control-
room ergonomics, and generating other documentation as required.
