Do you have the exact time AI went off the air tonight?
My stupid Fox station cut off the end of the show (after
the winner was announced, but during the celebration) to
start their 10:00 news.

You would think they could stay with the show until the
end, like they do for games and awards shows. But I'm
not even sure if they waited til 10:00.

I can't give you the EXACT time, but
American Idol ended (on FOX 5, in Washington, DC) about 10:03pm.

I didn't stick around to see all the end credits, but I did notice the show had
run over a couple minutes.

They could have cut about 5 minutes of Paula Abdul out and not missed a thing.
All she said, during the 3 times when she had the spotlight, was;

" I want it to be over, so they can start their careers. "

The dumbass said this 3 separate times and the last time, she dragged it
out for about 2 minutes.

It doesn't look like near as many Diana supporters turned up at her rally,
as turned out for Fantasia's?

During the shots of the stadium in North Carolina, they continually
panned back and forth, to show the thousands of people who attended.

All the shots of the Georgia Dome were cropped very tightly, with zero panning.
Was this to avoid showing the embarrasingly empty seats?

On the final shot of the Georgia Dome, they stepped back enough to see the 'crowd'..
and panned the camera a very little bit. I could only see about 100 people.
I'm sure there must have been at least a few hundred.. but I guess they
couldn't swing the camera any further, or too many empty seats would have been visible?

They gave a figure of 6000 for North Carolina.. but carefully avoided that topic
when at the Georgia Dome.

That's not really a huge surprise. Not many people are going to head
into the downtown area at night unless they already live there. Since
Atlanta has a largely black population they aren't likely to support
Diana. Now if Fantasia had been from Atlanta the place would have been
packed.
