I first thought it was a problem with the group itself (it certainly
wasn't any individual person who was having multiple persons) but it
seems to be happening on multiple groups as well.

Very strange.  Today we have this, and yesterday, I had trouble
reading messages from the group (My computer would tell me the
messages were present but when I tried to pull them up, nothing would
appear.  Very annoying).
