Given HOM #5....Peter and Logan seem to have a special understanding/relationship to each other.....is Bendis drawing that solely off of Spider-Man Vs. Wolverine and the follow-up in Web of Spider-Man? Or were there further team-ups I don't know about that expanded on their relationship?

It's called "We're the best-selling solo stars in the Marvel U, so of course we're going to be stuck together as much as possible like Superman and Batman over at DC despite having nothing in common other than being the best selling so stars...like Superman and Batman over at DC."

IIRC, Bendis also wrote a Spidey-Wolvie teamup in Ultimate X-Men, which lasted a few issues and was drawn by Finch. Dave

I think the Danger Room sequence was the one that actually showed that Wolverine thought highly of Spider-Man, if in a subtle way (though I think one of the other X-Men spelled it out.) Although it's Ultimates (and therefore not applicable), when Wolverine was in trouble he crawled into Parker's basement because he trusted Spider-Man to not betray him.

I think all he said was Spidey made them look like rookies...then he slightly chastised Charles for mind wiping Spidey.

Obligatory defense of a subject without wanting to get into a great debate over it: Jim Shooter is the best fanboy writer ever.

Nope. Towards the end of the scene we're treated to this crap: Nightcrawler: "He's getting away!" Wolverine: "We're lucky that's all he's trying to do! He really clobbered us! He made us look like fools--! Like amateurs!" <nope that was Jim Shooter> Anyway, Spidey almost gets away to tell on the X-Men to Mr Fantastic (though why he bothered is beyond me) when Charles does the mind-wipe. No chastisement at all. They were only muties, though, so Shooter probably wasn't interested enough to show it. Matt
