Ok, first, in the pre-OYL Batman finale, it looks like Batman cuts the Red Hood/Jason Todd's throat with his Batarang. Doesn't Batman have any blunt batarangs anymore? If he could pull off that shot (which I have no problem with), couldn't he have clonked him in the head just as easily (or even more simply) on the rebound than cutting and drawing blood? Did Dark Knight Returns make ALL of Batman's weapons ninja stars? Second, Jason Todd's return- it was all because of Crisis? Isn't that uncreatively convienent. How many other things are we going to discover that writers have done but have no answer to that are just going to be attributed to Crisis? I'll at least give some kudos for retroactively putting him back in the Hush storyline. Chris C.

According to my DK Publishing Complete Guide to the Dark Knight (unrevised), yes, he should. > If he could pull off that shot (which I have no problem with), Of course not. But then that wouldn't be KEWL in the sense that it's entirely UNCOOL. > Did Dark Knight Returns make ALL of Batman's weapons ninja stars? Anything would be rather a let-down, and probably unpalatable to boot. > How many other things are we going to discover that writers have done but have no > answer to that are just going to be attributed to Crisis? Ugh. I don't even want to speculate. > I'll at least give some kudos for retroactively putting him back in the > Hush storyline. Which actually makes the story less cohesive. I didn't think anything could. Basically, you have to assume that not only were Riddler and Hush in on it, but Jason Todd, too, only without anybody knowing Jason Todd was Robin, so why would he be in on it? ARGH!!! I've never really minded Judd Winick's writing, but his ideas are so bad. So bad. Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque
