May I say that this has been one of the most enjoyable discussions I've
ever participated in on this ng? It's been thoughtful, deep,
wide-ranging and fruitful. It has gone far afield from Tolkien at times,
yet we always return to him as a touchstone. And no one has gotten angry
or egotistical or called anyone else names, or even been snippy! I'm a
happy camper. <deep satisfied sigh>
