I've been using the hide-sexp code which was posted here recently, however, I've come across a problem: After using M-x compile, when I type M-x next-error to position the cursor at the line containing an error, emacs appears to count only the visible lines in the buffer, so the cursor is usually wrongly positioned. Is there a clean way to solve this problem? Ideally I'd like a function like 'forward-line', but which also counted 'lines' ending with \r (or whatever is used to hide lines).
