Looking for a more powerful LaTeXinfo mode.

I am currently using LaTeXinfo 1.3.2 and I was wondering if there is a newer
version with more features (such as the capability to generate automatically
the tree structure).

The TeXinfo package for example appears to be far superior to the LaTeXinfo
package in terms of functionalities. Does anybody plan to modify it to be used
with LaTeX?

Please reply by e-mail.

Thanks in advance,
