SUBJECT info/event/AppletAwards - Big Applet Awards! URL http://www.jade.org DESCRIPTION jade.org: The Java(tm) Developers Organization and SIGS' The Java Report are pleased to present the first annual Big Applet Awards for the best and most popular Java-based applets! To enter your applet in the competition, point your browser to the jade.org Web site (URL: http://www.jade.org) and follow the links to the contest entry form. Entries must be in one of five categories: Business Services Games and Entertainment Sound and Vision Education Global Community Applets will be eligible both for a judged prize based on creativity, originality, interativity, efficiency, and general excellence, as well as a Users' Choice award based on user selections from the listing of entries to be placed on the jade.org Web site. Awards will be presented on August 7, 1996 at 6:00 pm at the New York Hilton Hotel & Towers, New York City, during SIGS' Object Expo/Java Expo. All entries must be received by July 31, 1996.
