SUBJECT dev/misc/java.ShowCase - Turn Java code into HTML URL http://www.princeton.edu/~dragones/ShowCase/ (Application) DESCRIPTION Code publishing on the World Wide Web currently amounts to little more than displaying the textual source. However, this facility could be much improved by the use of hyperlinks, frames, and syntax highlighting to aid in the navigability and comprehension of on-line source code. Java employs the object-oriented paradigm which easily lends itself to decription through a class hierarchy. By coupling a class tree, class disassembly and source code frames within a browser window, java.ShowCase makes code on the Web become a dynamic entity with all necessary references a click away. VERSION 1.0 beta 1 PLATFORM Solaris - JDK 1.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2 Win95/NT - JDK 1.0.1, 1.0.2 AUTHORS Joe Ross - joeross@princeton.edu Dave Ragones - dragones@princeton.edu PRICE Freeware CONTACT Joe Ross (joeross@princeton.edu) http://www.princeton.edu/~dragones/ShowCase/ (main page) http://www.princeton.edu/~dragones/ShowCase/code/ (sample output) -- To submit, mail postings to java@relog.ch (please read the guidelines posted)
