	As this news group getting up to speed, I think it is appropriate
to publicly thank David Yost who took the initiative of starting
the Eiffel mailing list and then (when the mailing list grew to the point
at which it became unmanageable) transformed it into a newsgroup.
Both steps required a large dose of effort, patience and diplomacy.
Thanks, Dave.

	A number of mailing list messages, reposted by Dave to the newsgroup,
call for an answer by me or somebody else from ISE. I will go through
them over the next 2 or 3 weeks and try to come up with reasonable
comments. Thanks to all the people who contributed.
