I don't know how to fix the issue, it's something related to some TLS clients doing things in different ways, for example Kineto also doesn't work, but amfora and lagrange do, so it's a bit weird, and I'd like to be able to debug why, but I can't do it easily. (For context the gemini connection goes through sslh which then sends it to gemini based on the SNI header, (that way I can also have the forums on the same IP)) I guess maybe if I program a gemini proxy directly I could get it to work as sslh might be doing something but I can't figure out what it's doing. I followed this guide to set up sslh to transparently proxy ::1965, 0.0.0.0:1965 to the appropiate gemini server. https://github.com/yrutschle/sslh/blob/master/doc/tproxy.md

(But I may require some emails to get my attention as I don't always have the time to read Usenet, and I try to read emails to the address I'm using to make this post) I will in a few weeks start a gemlog, and post such a living article, and I'll link it here. Here is the current list of URLs I've received via Usenet as of this message being sent: => gemini://2600.madrid => gemini://rek2.hispagatos.org => gemini://hispagatos.org => gemini://capsule.usebox.net/ => gemini://capsule.usebox.net/spacebeans/ => gemini://gemini.turnquist.name/ => gemini://moribundo.flounder.online => gemini://pandora.flounder.online => gemini://gemini.oxydable.fr => gemini://gem.sdf.org/jmccue/ => gemini://gemini.conman.org/ => gemini://rkta.srht.site/ Note that I haven't had time to read any of them yet, and will try to read them over the coming weeks.

I'm a child of the 80's and a product of the 90's. A descendant of the dot com boom and arisen from within the wings of the baud. In my years of life I've come to more every day prefer text now to audio and visual stimulation. Television annoys my senses, save for the occasional educational content, and as much as I've tried to get into audio books, I find myself unable to enjoy or immerse myself in them. To that end I have created my own Gemini capsule had have begun to re-discover the gopher protocol and it's text focused content. I have developed a love for plain text and seek it out wherever I'm able. It's as if I have reached a point in my life where I'm mentally aging backwards in relation to content technology while still pursuing security, privacy and digital freedom. I now prefer to spend my days digging through Gopher or exploring Gemini. You can find my capsule at gemini://caseyrichins.online (Est. 2022) I haven't posted much this year and I don't like that but I working on building the necessary discipline to write more content. I have 3 or 4 topics of note that I'm trying to finish but not rush so that it reaches a point of being deemed worthy in my own eyes for the minds of others even if no one will ever read or even find my content amongst the general population. I'm in no way a perfectionist but like well written documentation, it should be easily followed by the reader. I'm also thinking about creating a fiction series and posting that to a gopher server that I'll stand up, hosting it solely on Gopher but linked upon my capsule as well as posted to Usenet. I hope to become a regular to Usenet, more so than I ever was in my younger years when I was a teen full of frustration trying to download postings from alt.sex.pictures topics on a modem that was never able to give me the full 56 kbps I desired. I couldn't justify paying for Usenet access today so I was quite happy to discover Eternal September. This being my first official post, I look forward to hopefully seeing a resurgence similar to that which Gopher has seen with Gemini that helped bring new and old users to the space here on Usenet. -- Email me: python3 -c \ 'print(bytes.fromhex("68656C6C6F40636173657972696368696E732E6F6E6C696E65").decode("ASCII"))' Send me a private message -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- mDMEZTswKBYJKwYBBAHaRw8BAQdAooQwFQQrJoZHU5id7bZX29D5LqzbogEG8toS MTUL2mG0KUNhc2V5IFJpY2hpbnMgPGhlbGxvQGNhc2V5cmljaGlucy5vbmxpbmU+ iJQEExYKADwWIQTPp4HImnI6I2c+O8Dkl9Wi5VtL0QUCZTswKAIbAwUJA8JnAAQL CQgHBBUKCQgFFgIDAQACHgECF4AACgkQ5JfVouVbS9HH+wD/ZbQIjF2FzMZdd/hc bgiLhCsxqYICQx1JLy5e4oI07hQBAIEwplBNIFtAI4bqbda6mzWvqrmspOAE1OWP FMdu39sGuDgEZTswKBIKKwYBBAGXVQEFAQEHQEpzbtTbzqsjJ9HP7vKt/0rwBL0W bicGZiDTwqvdaS9JAwEIB4h+BBgWCgAmFiEEz6eByJpyOiNnPjvA5JfVouVbS9EF AmU7MCgCGwwFCQPCZwAACgkQ5JfVouVbS9FR2QD/TIE0RLq8IaeEei146b1GenJ9 HBgV0rHo3S0pAz4TaUAA/3vE26akUCw38wNKPc/DhaVadwrp6ighVH93m+o8GqoF =TCpL -----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org - against proprietary attachments ----------------------------------------------------------------------
