Have you looked at the gnuplot commands in the file 'poldat.dem'
that create the Smith chart?  You could modify them -- especially
the 'set range' commands -- and see what happens.

I would assume that you can give an ASCI data file to gnuplot and
have it added to the chart, but I've never made a Smith chart myself,
so I don't know what transformations (if any) would be needed.
