Although I am aware that this question is not specifically related to
gnuplot I believe this is the correct group to ask it in.

Since GNUPLOT seems to be unable to handle histogram data without using
the messy "set label" command - my question is - are there any programs
out there that can do it.  Nice unix based batch programmable types
of packages preferred.

My x data series is dates without saturday or sunday which I think would
be most easily represented as pure text (as in a histogram).

9/8	5
