Is it possible to edit vector graphics like .eps files with Gimp?

If not, what other application would you recommend for Linux to do this?

Thanks

Hello,

No, Gimp is definitely not the appropriate tool for editing vector graphics.

Look at Sketch ( http://sketch.sourceforge.net/ )
or Xfig ( http://www.xfig.org/ )
or tgif ( http://bourbon.cs.umd.edu:8001/tgif/ )
one may import eps.
Other vectorial applications are Killustrator (see koffice page), Gyve,
Sodipodi, Gill and Dia ( http://www.lysator.liu.se/~alla/dia/ ) (more
oriented towards diagrams, but worth a look)

Also, have a look at pstoedit,

Sincerely,

Olivier.

Thanks!
