Ever read Al Q'uran? It states explicitly that Christians and Jews are
to be respected as "People of the Book", i.e. part of the
Judeo-Christian tradition, from Abraham, to Jesus, and culminating in
Muhammed.

Al Q'uran also states that "there is to be no compulsion in religion".

Which is not to say that there aren't bigots in Islam, of course there
are, just as there are in Christianity. But from the teachings of the

more tolerant  of other faiths than most other religions.

Naaa he's not even original. Hitler espoused similar ideas (though the words
were different) about Jews. Jews were to blame for the economy, Germans
being out of work etc etc. Had nothing at ALL to do with what the Keiser
(however you spell it) had done to the nation prior to that or what the
people after him had done. Jews were just different you see and that is all
it took to make them the source of all the troubles as he saw it.

You get a few bad Muslims that truly ARE bad these days and it is now the
fault of EVERY Muslim because they look different, too. Getting sick and

literally. Let's at LEAST try to be original and do something entirely

I dont care about their views - they dont oppress ME and I am female.  The
guy in my group is not required to answer for the actions of millions - and
I dont find it unpalatable, simply rude.  I respect his religion, and so
long as I receive the same respect in return I am happy.  The Muslims I know
speak to non Muslims, male and female, with equal respect and I have nothing
against them.  They dont agree with terrorism either.

the family that lives across the road from me, all muslims as luck would
have it, are very nice people....regularly say gidday and exchange sentances
of pleasantries....we often exchange gifts without the need of any form of

consequence, will become submissive, subservient and nominally tolerant of

majority culture. In other words, having the upper-hand leads the larger

to pressure the minorities to conform. This is particularly the case with
religions
which, for all their ecumenical feelgood claptrap about tolerating other
sects,
are mutually-exclusive belief systems that don't like competition.

The problem here is religion, of course, as it so often is.

*Organised* religion. It's when people start forming groups to give
themselves some sort of exclusivity or sense of superiority over others that

How can youse people tell who's Muslim and who's not?!!?

How can you determine what religion a person is just by looking at them (or reading about them)?  (And why is

Probably 'cause they were drunk layabouts.  Similar reason as to why my
