Hi All, Does anyone know whether Thai airways 777's have all been upgraded with the new AVOD seats yet? Last update I heard was that they only had it in the premium classes, but not economy. That was back in 2006 though. Anybody flown MEL-BKK recently? 772's & 773's used on that route I believe. It's a long enough flight to make having your own tele a bit of a factor in airline choice. Cheers

WIll be returning from BKK next Tuesday on TG999 in C class. Seats in C class are the 170 degree lie flat seats..These seats are better than the ones used in the A340-600. Y class seats have their own video screens with movie on demand. Not all B777 have been upgraded..The B777-300 series that THAI use BKK ~ TPE ~ ICN mostly have later seat colours etc., but, not video screens. So, only B777-200ER are all new within the past 12 months. THAI has six of these planes at present. My THAI flights numbering 89 and 90 coming up in next couple of days...All these done since June, 2004 All the best..................Peter

But the pages haven't been updated since Dec 2006 on the Thai versoin. The Aussie version is a bit fresher, but not very informative. Looks like the MEL-BKK route is using the 777-200ER's and they are definately newer fitout.

SeatGuru suggests that: "Personal televisions with Audio and Video on Demand are available at every seat First and Business Class seat. Overhead video monitors are available in Economy Class." See: http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Thai_Airways/Thai_Airways_Boeing_777-200ER.php cheers BB "Oppylock" <yeah@right.com> wrote in message news:1196985273.828548@proxy.nec.com.au... >> "Oppylock" <yeah@right.com> wrote in message >> news:1196910380.864790@proxy.nec.com.au... >>> Hi All, >>> >>> Does anyone know whether Thai airways 777's have all been upgraded with >>> the new AVOD seats yet? >>> Last update I heard was that they only had it in the premium classes, >>> but not economy.
