GAMBLERS TAKE NOTE

The Super Bowl was further confirmation of a common belief that all pro
sports are fixed. I think the Pitts QB took a dive - how else do you
explain two interceptions on the two drives which could have given
them the lead? He threw only 7 int's all year, none of them directly
into the numbers of the opposing defense, faced blitzes all year, and
then throws two int's right into the db's numbers. Come on, once
maybe, but twice? I think he was given a bus load of tax exempt
money, various perks, and an "if you make it again to the Super Bowl
you'll win" guarantee. Let's face it, there was a lot of money to be
lost if Pitt won. The commercial endorsements alone could have hurt
the prospects and stock of many of our largest corporations. How many
of the Super Bowl ads featured Pittsburgh players?
I say - IT WAS FIXED. It O'Donnell ever gets to the Super Bowl again,
I'm betting the farm on him - regardless of the odds.

Unless you're in Pittsburgh, the spread was 14 - 14 1/2. Dallas never did
cover the points. The bookmakers won a butt load of money of off people
thinking it was going to be a blowout.

Come on, give me a break. You actually think that with O'Donnel
becoming a free agent next year he would throw this game. With his
potential to shine and make a star of himself in the game he would be
a QB in big demand thus making millions more. Now wiht what happen
Sunday, he will probably not be back with the Steelers and definitely
not be making as much as he would have liked. I don't think O'Donnel
is that stupid.
GET A LIFE GUY.

No way would any real NFL player give up a game like the SuperBowl.
Ask the Bills what they'd do to actually win one. They may never
get another chance. The Steelers may never get another chance.
It's hard to gauge these things.
It's like a politician being nominated by their party to run for president
and declining...

excuse me buddy. But I must inform you that you don't know what you
are talking about. The Steelers covered the spread. That's all that
the bookies cared about. Who wins doesn't matter because very few
people bet the game straight up compared to those that bet the spread
and over-under.
