I no longer live in the Bay Area and only have seen the Warriors a couple of times on TV but I read the SF papers and follow the newsgroup and it is obvious to me that Adleman does not want Tim Hardaway on the team. Starting BJ Armstrong- please...... (the press reports Timmy asked for a trade after the Dallas game) Now we can debate back and forth that Timmy isn't as good as once was, etc. BUT he is better than most point guards in the league- at least he is in the upper half. I respect Chris Mullin for taking his "assignment" quietly BUT I would guess that Mullin is gone next year as well. Thanks to Adleman, Hardaway's trade value is zero to nothing NOW. If he wanted to get rid of Hardawy, he should have started him and then traded as soon as a good deal came in (like Phoenix or the Knicks, both who have point guard problems due to injuries or personel). I see this as a sad chapter in Warrior history. Joe Smith is very good and Spree is good when his head is in the game but I never liked watching Portland with Adleman and the Warriors will not win a championship with him as coach. Why? He does not know how to deal with the egos of the NBA. Ken kdrew@nd.edu
