I'm researching a few things for a pet project of mine, and I would like some help on the matter of time dilation, precisely : How much time do you gain/lose? In this a ship is accelerated at 1G for 90 days, which brings it to c. 0.2c. It then travels towards Alpha Centauri (4.3 LY away last I heard) and it decelerates at the same rate at the appropriate time (having turned around at some point, obviously). Now, I figure that it would take the ship about 22 years to make the trip, but that's the time that passes on Earth. How much time would pass on the ship? that's my main question. Also, if there exist relatively (pun intended) simple equations that allow one to calculate how much dilation would occur, would someone please post them, either here or to me. Thanks in advance. Jack Moxiane
