Can't make it work,
it was so easy to setup on my old computer, but now my new one is a
mess. I solved the win98-linux problem of disappearing-appearing
partitions.. but this one? I tried every program, xf86config and
XF86Setup, even by hand, it always give me 320x300 res or it just
says:
 X11transsocketUNIX
connect: can't connect: errno1 (or 11?)
many times. I have Phlips 17S monitor and this seems easy to tell
"him".. i have the spec. THe problem is the video card:
I tell "him" i want SVGA server and that i have a matrox g200 16
mb(someone said here that it is the same even if i have a g400 16 mb),
i tell him that i have a generic card with 16384 videoram, nope, not
even vga16, always 320x300. I tell him
XF86Setup starts and work in 800x600, so why kde doens't?
Please someone help me.. i really passed the last two weeks on it,
installing and reinstalling both win98 and linux.
I even tried to install the mesa3d but it tells that i must have Xfree
3.5 which i don't have.
Someone spoke about a Xconfigurator, but it isn't here, at least in my
machine.
