libesmtp libary problem

Hello,

I would not normally post this here, but it seems to be a slackware
issue as everyone can compileit fine.

I have been wanting to use libesmtp for soething, which when I
attemtped to ./configure said it required libtool. Sure, no probs, I
went and installed libtool, and sure enough it installed libltdl which
is what was needed by libesmtp. Now no matter where I install libtool
+ libtldl and no matter howmany ldconfigs and configure options I
parse, i can not get libesmtp to recognise that libltdl is installed.

If anyone could offer some advice I would be greatly appreciative,
many thanks.
