OS/x  -- the macintosh operating system, version ten
BSD  -- Berkeley Software mumble, a UNIX like operating system from
the CSRG[2] at UCB[3]

[1]  GNU --- GNU[1] is not UNIX
[2]  CSRG -- Computer Science Research Group
[3]  UCB  -- university of California, Berkeley.
