ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. Β Two law firms representing the alleged victims of a former Riverview Gardens middle school principal say there are likely more victims in other districts, including in North Carolina where he previously worked. Cedric Gerald, 48, was charged last month with sexual trafficking of a child, possession of child sexual abuse images, and multiple other crimes dating back to 2023, the authorities' probable cause statement said. Those charges involved allegations from four former students. In a press conference on Tuesday, lawyers from the Simon Law Firm and the O'Brien Law Firm said they are representing three of those victims as well as three others, and they believe more victims could come forward. "We represent six victims of this gentleman, Mr. Gerald, that span over multiple districts, not just River Gardens, but also Ferguson-Florissant," said Grant Boyd, with the O'Brien Law Firm. "And we are also working on uncovering information that suggests this spans all the way back to his employment in North Carolina, as well, where he worked for at least two school districts." In the days after charges were filed, the Ferguson-Florissant School District said they were not aware of any sexual misconduct incidents connected to Gerald within their schools. Gerald used to be the principal of McCluer High School in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. According to charging documents, four students told investigators that Gerald engaged in sexual behaviors with them, including incidents at the school building and in his office. The incidents happened between Jan. 1, 2023, and May 14, 2025. "Confidential minor victims reported inappropriate FaceTime, text messages, and video calls with Defendant in exchange for payment," the court documents said. "The Riverview Gardens School District administration has been cooperative throughout the investigation." According to the law firms, Gerald began his career in education in 2000 at the Charlotte-Mecklenberg School District, where he was a teacher and literacy coach for 16 years. He was a secondary curriculum specialist in the Washington County Schools system in Plymouth, North Carolina, from 2013-2016 before coming to the Ferguson-Florissant School District. A LinkedIn profile for Cedric Gerald matches that work history. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina shared the following statement with 5 On Your Side: "Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is aware of the situation in Missouri. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools follows standard hiring procedures. Positions are posted, interviews are conducted, and recommendations to hire are made. All new hires go through a criminal background check, drug test, and fingerprints through the Standard Bureau of Investigation." In addition to looking into Gerald's behavior, Mary Simon with the Simon Law Firm said they are investigating the actions of the school districts that employed Gerald. Boyd said they are working to determine if the school districts' behavior was intentional. "With the numericity, the idea that someone could pull this off, and abuse this many children from one district without one red flag going up, without someone not seeing something, just kind of defies logic," Boyd said. "But the information we have suggests that people were raising concerns, that there were red flags present and either they were being ignored or swept under the rug or not proper reactions were happening to those red flags." Both law firms encouraged anyone with information or who may have been a victim of Gerald to contact the St. Louis County Police Department at 314- 615-5400 as well as Simon Law at 314-241-2929 or the OΒBrien Law Firm at 314-588-0558. -- November 5, 2024 - Congratulations President Donald Trump. We look forward to America being great again. We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so that stupid people won't be offended. Every day is an IQ test. Some pass, some, not so much. Thank you for cleaning up the disasters of the 2008-2017, 2020-2024 Obama / Biden / Harris fiascos, President Trump. Under Barack Obama's leadership, the United States of America became the The World According To Garp. Obama sold out heterosexuals for Hollywood queer liberal democrat donors.
