These people could be the forces of logic. You experience
them as trashing your ideas and preventing you from contact
with the paranormal. Your frantic efforts to clean your house
are your attempts to put yourself in a "receptive" frame of
mind.
These 'others' seem at times skeptical, and other times
believers. This could reflect your doubt. You seem to be
experiencing an intrapsychic conflict between what you
understand to be reality and the claims of the paranormal.
I can understand your confusion. In the dream, you end up
destroying the ambiguity, but the effect is nihilism.
Let's know if you find an answer.

Re: "House Trashing" dream.

You opened the description of your dream indicating that it increasingly
'bothers me'. Trust those feelings, which you obviously have started to do,
indicated by putting forward your dream for outside comment.
I offer the following interpretation in the hope that just some of it might
ring true and hence might be of positive use to you right now:

The house represents yourself in total, your mind and body, housing your
soul and personality. The behaviour of all of us operates through a number
of 'selves' within, whos characteristics and traits we model upon
people we come across in the journey of our individual lives.
Yours are represented by the people you see in the house. UFOs in dreams
represent 'out of this realm' beings, symbolising a belief in a world
beyond this one - ie. the glimpsing of an after-life of some sort unknown.

The house warming party starts off well enough, the many people and the
large house represents a generous openmindedness to people and hence concepts
on your part, which has probably helped you to notice the 'ufos' and
acknowledge a life that is alien to the one we all live materially - ie. a
spiritual awareness within you has been awakened, if not consciously
at least subconsciously.

The 'others' who can't see the ufos, are the other selves within your
personality (and aspects of the people they are modelled on) which refuse to
acknowledge a spiritual dimension to life, or more importantly, they probably
don't think you should openly face it - yet. They may well be locking the door
at present, for you own good. The ones shooting into the sky indicate you
may have taken some fairly reactionary traits on board, to be handled/faced
carefully and slowly (one can be too opened minded for ones own good).

In dreams it is a good sign when you find a key to a locked door, however
'willing your way through the locked door', doesn't seem very wise to me.
This may represent actions you have taken in conscious life, to reach contact
with life beyond, to find meaning beyond the material realm. The reaction of
all your other selves was then to rearrange themselves to still prevent
you going out the door.

All this action and counter-action has messed up the place a bit. The
'aliens' see the results of their impact and retreat - ie. this adds
further weight to my view that the 'locked door' is for your own good. The
'aliens' might be praising the 'others' BECAUSE they locked that door.

Your following action of 'willing the destruction of the dream' is not good.
It's not good to destroy anything, it is better to face things.
'The desolate waste in shades of grey' is not a good image either.

Generally, encountering 'a tombstone with your name on it' is not
necessarily a bad dream sign, as often such tombstones can symbolise
us going through a major personal transition of some sort. However,
all the symbolic material about it, such as 'cold wind blew the grey dust'
doesn't sound like a positive transition in any way or form to me.
The way that you felt when you woke from this dream is important
to interpretation here.

I would suggest that some of this dream is symbolic of some action
you've taken in the past, while the later bit may well be symbolic of
possible results in the future if you do so in a like manner again.
It has many hallmarks of a 'warning' dream. 'Willing' your way
though a 'locked door' is one thing, but 'willing the destruction' of
the whole picture show is something else again. (I hope you don't do drugs)

If it was my dream, I'd back off seeking a spiritual dimension to life
right now via those means you used last time, and get back to the real
party - you're only young once, fraternize. The spiritual dimension will
come to you all in good time and not before. All the experience you gain
will be useful somewhere along the line - providing you keep a mind open to
the channel that is your dreams, and to the people around you.
The dreams will come to you in times of need and opportunity.
You don't have to seek them out, but you do have to pay attention to them
when they do come, and honour them with conscious (existential) good actions,
when their meaning is clear.
