Enter Shadowville, where Will Dockery can pretend to still be the loving husband and father and his poems about her still have meaning in his mind. It's the same world he retreats to and plays successful poet, musician, and a celebrity. Outside of Shadowville, Kathy broke all ties. Will Dockery was dead to her and wasn't invited to her wedding or even her funeral. Her family despised him that much and rightfully so and still do.
