No one said it was about getting rich, much less getting rich quickly.

A man who works all day for a living isn't going to have the time or the energy to write and promote poetry.

In order to have a career as a poet, one's poetry must provide enough income for one to live on (and, when applicable, to raise a family on).

Look at yourself: you've found a way to leech off your tax-paying neighbors, and you've still been unable to find any poetic success... critically or financially.
